We have some really exciting news for all Harmony Farm Members and supporters!
Automatic weekly baskets with options to customize have returned!
Starting this week, you will see in the “boxes and shares” section of the store that the three “Farmers Choice CSA boxes” have added “swap” functionality.
We have populated the boxes with our freshest and most popular items. Don’t see what you most want? Each item has swap options so that you can customize your shopping experience.
CSA boxes are available for one time purchase, as a recurring subscription and as a line item that monthly members can select any time.
Worried that it is too late in the season to start a CSA membership? Worry not! With our new platform there is actually no end of season date.
Our gardens are still overflowing with amazing fresh produce. We expect to have abundance in the gardens at least until the first frost.
Following that, tender crops (like tomatoes and peppers) will be under cover and gently warmed with our wood furnace until November.
The last few years we have had several crops that kept growing outdoors (and became even sweeter!) well past freezing temperatures (eg kale and brussels sprouts; this year we also have parsnips!).
We have already started working on storing veg for the winter (eg carrots and beets; squash and pumpkins are also coming along nicely).
Once the gardens are tucked in for the winter, we will re-start our gourmet mushroom operation. This year we are also setting up indoor growing for mixed salad greens.
With all of this, we expect to have produce well into the winter months.
February 6 we will once again have 10 hours of daylight and will re-start production of hardy greens in the greenhouse.
So, if you are interested in year round local and organic produce delivery, we will be happy to provide for you!
If you are going away or want a little CSA break, feel free to go into your account and select “skip” for as long as you would like to have your account on hold. Your settings will be saved but your card will not be charged. Once you are back, you can pick up right where you left off.
